Writing as G.S. Mauro

Many of my day jobs have entailed editing software how-to articles or books. One of my first authors was a programmer who got into trouble with the law, so when I wrote my first fictional programmer, Ariel Bauer, in No Margin for Error, I decided I’d give her an edgy interface with the FBI. I wrote these books under a name different from my comedies only so that readers wouldn’t think they were getting a lighter side of crime. Ariel has a difficult past, and it shows.
